JOB PURPOSE

This role is responsible for providing MI support to the MI and Data Manager as well as the business as a whole. The primary action for this position will be to establish, design and develop a greenfield Data Warehouse to transform a legacy, operational MI solution.

The Data Warehouse Developer has responsibility for:

End to end database and process development from scoping to design implementing with full ETL and validation, testing and documentation

Data Assurance of the Model including, data quality, load metrics and ETL Rules.

Defining the data strategy to be adopted within the team and the creation of the data model.

Ensuring that data management / governance and best practice processes are applied.

Acting as a point of contact for data requests, maintenance and subject matter expertise across all data sources (Legacy & Transformed).

Ensuring that data accuracy and completeness issues are managed and addressed in a timely manner

Support the MI Manager and wider MI team with periodic and ad-hoc reporting requests

Development of existing and new management information dashboards to support the operations team of this evolving business

Working closely with operational managers and other parts of the client’s business to ensure that the data model fit the needs of the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Developing Interface specifications to source information from the clients system, such as the MS Dynamics CRM and Avaya Telephony platform

Receiving, validating and applying data updates to core systems supplied from all parties, including but not limited to customers, National Health Service England (NHSE), NHSE Regional Teams, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIS), CitySprint

Providing technical leadership and support to the MI team

Actively promoting and maintaining an awareness of the importance of data quality as well as good practice in relation data management, protection and security across all staff.

Producing regular and ad-hoc management information reports for the commercial, financial, transformation and operation teams to quality and time

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporting the MI Manager where required, including representing them or the department in meetings, workshops and other similar events as required

Develop procedures and oversee good practice to ensure accurate and timely maintenance and controlled updating of data in clients system

Ensure any data changes are validated, documented and implemented through the appropriate control and approval processes

Monitor and audit the integrity of data changes that have been made and run periodic analyses of data quality and completeness

Implement and / or oversee any corrective actions or exceptions processing to address data accuracy or completeness issues arising from the above checks and suggest preventative actions to mitigate against reoccurrences

Review the output of periodic and ad-hoc reporting or data extraction requests, in order to quality assure them

KEY SKILLS

Experience of working with sensitive data ideally a care related organisation or public sector.

Experience of DWH Design, development and implementation.

Definition of a development roadmap.

Operational knowledge and experience of working in a multi-site, cross function operation, Call centre and Back office.

Experience of working with CRM or similar systems where there are multiple data sets that need managing and maintaining. Experience of data management and related governance processes.

Knowledge of Kimball and/or Inmon methodologies.

Experience of working with Avaya or similar telephony packages.

Previous experience of working through and delivering large scale transformation programmes.

Excellent planning and organisational skills.

Outstanding communication skills at all levels internal / external

Able to work under significant pressure and to tight deadlines.

A highly motivated and driven individual.

Previous experience in generating growth.

Commercially aware and experienced in understanding complex contracts.
