We are looking for a 2nd line network engineer to join our client on an initial 6 month contract based in Bellshill, Scotland.

Pay rates: £25-27.50 per hour

Support Engineers need a strong customer focus, with a proactive approach to service delivery. The role's main focus is to ensure that all support incidents are managed and progressed to resolution. This is to be done whilst ensuring customers are regularly updated of progress and that incidents are resolved in line with their service level agreement deadlines.

This role covers a broad range of technologies including the Microsoft Server/Client, Hyper-V, VMWare, Google Tenancy, Meru Wireless, Juniper infrastructure, Apple clients, HP/EMC/Dell SAN, Citrix Xen Desktop, Backup Exec, Anti-Virus products (MIS) and biometric identifications solutions. Candidates will be expected to have a strong knowledge across some of these.

Experience & Skills:

· Strong diagnostic skills

· Experience working well in a team environment while also being able to work productively while unsupervised

· The ability to maintain composure under pressure

· Experience diagnosing performance degradation (e.g. explain plans, database tuning)

· Customer focused, to deliver an excellence service at all times.

· Technical knowledge demonstrated through qualifications with a minimum of 1 professional qualification in the following:

o Microsoft: MCTS:Win7, MCSA, MCSE, MCITP:EA,

o Cisco: CCENT, CCNA

o VMWare: VCP

o Apple: ACSA

o Symantec: Symantec Backup Exec Administrator
