Technical Support Analyst - £25,000 - £35,000 - Birmingham

The Company

Spring are engaged with a globally recognised financial services company with over 100,000 employers worldwide who are looking for a Technical Support Analyst in their Birmingham office. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for IT.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide friendly hands-on technical support for internal users combining excellent customer service skills with a genuine enthusiasm for technology.

Internal users will come directly to you and your team and using your knowledge and expertise along with exceptional customer service skills, you will help to re-assure users bringing a resolution to their technical issues or questions whilst helping to educate, demonstrate, train, and promote new products to users.

Key Responsibilities:

*Working to scheduled appointments and also user walk ins

*Excellent customer service skills

*Explaining throughout the process what is happening and what you are doing to fix the issue

*Providing advice, guidance, tips and tricks, and ways to avoid the issue from happening again in future

*Ability to quickly diagnose IT issues and resolutions

*Restore a positive End User relationship with technical advice and timely repairs

*Taking ownership of the issues and seeing them through to completion

*Swiftly escalating issues you can't fix to the relevant teams whilst maintaining a level of ownership to ensure end users are kept up to date

Skills & Qualifications:

*Excellent people and interpersonal skills

*Retail experience / customer service / experience in sales

*Passion for technology and keen interest for problem solving

*Excellent time management skills and can make decisions quickly

*Ability to maintain composure, empathy, and customer focus while troubleshooting and solving issues

*An enjoyment in meeting people and building relationships with end users

*A sense of urgency but also the ability to keep your cool

*Good analytical/trouble shooting skills

*Able to communicate clearly with the end users, explaining situations with patience and empathy on what the resolution and next steps are

*Trustworthy with the ability to skilfully instruct users

*Supporting Microsoft Windows

*Supporting Microsoft Office products

*Supporting Skype and other video calling technology

*Supporting Smartphone Technology

*Supporting Desktop/Laptop/Tablet hardware

In return for your skills my client is looking to pay between £25,000 - £35,000. Based in Birmingham, this role is easily located for commuting from most of the West Midlands.
