Customer Insight Research Analyst

The Role

Are you smart and numerate, with a passion for understanding what motivates consumers? Do you want to apply research and insight to commercial problems to provide actionable recommendations? Can you explain complex problems in a simple and clear way? Do you have an inquisitive mind to explore and improve projects using a breadth of research and customer data?

The customer insight research analyst role will be dedicated to our research programme. From conducting interviews to explore customer experience, attitudes and loyalty, to tracking brand health and understanding brand equity for acquisition, this role involves designing and managing a comprehensive research programme to learn as much as possible about our current and future potential customers.

Your Responsibilities

Lead all consumer research operations and project management

Ensure that the latest, most-effective qualitative and quantitative research solutions are applied to best answer the questions at the heart of the business

Take ownership from proposal writing and research design through to analysis, distillation and knowledge sharing

Immerse yourself within the marketing, merchandising, creative and product to build effective research questions and solutions contributing to key commercial decisions

Demonstrate and inspire industry best practice, driving organisational understanding of research techniques

Present insights and research recommendations to stakeholders in a straightforward and concise manner.

Requirements

Vast experience and competency in market research, with a broad working knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative, ideally agency-side

First-hand experience designing, recruiting, sampling and analysing research

Demonstrated practice of quantitative and statistical methods of research, generating and validating hypotheses with sampled data, including conjoint analysis and regressions. Sophisticated understanding of qualitative methods of research, including depth interviews, immersion sessions, focus groups and diary studies

Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of SPSS or a related statistical software package

Natural curiosity about customer motivations and human behaviour

Excellent organisation skills and capability to multi-task

A degree in Social Science, Psychology or a related discipline

Beneficial to have experience working in ecommerce and digital merchandising or clients within the industry

Beneficial to have some familiarity with SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Tableau
