Proteus Europe is searching for a Infrastructure Support Technician for our client based in Luxembourg

Our Client :-

Our client is an international consultancy with a reputation for delivering on projects with their consultancy customers. You will join and be part of their team to ensure this current project is a complete success.

Your New role :-

Daily Support

The daily support part comprises:

* Installation and configuration of client computers (hardware and software).

* Installation and troubleshooting of most applications on Windows 7 (and XP) workstations and thin clients (Linux / Windows).

* Installation and configuration of printers (Xerox and Lexmark).

* The park equipment survey

* Ticket management and tracking (GLPI).

* The general documentation (Wiki).

Daily administration

Administrative part:

* Management and creation of accounts of pcs and users (including security groups) on the Windows domain.

* Managing and creating mailboxes (Exchange / Outlook couple).

* Management of acls on the file server as well as related security groups.

* DHCP reservations, DNS corrections, ...

* Restoring deleted files and folders.

* Server and hardware-based printer management.

Advanced Administration

In addition to daily administration:

* Organization of the file server, particularly at the level of the overall security strategy.

This includes the installation and support of DFS roots, the organization of security groups, ...

* Organization and maintenance of the main print server.

* Maintenance of a Linux server (Debian)

* Organization and creation of OUs and GPOs

* Development of scripts related to system startup and user sessions. Most scripts are in Kixtart / Powershell.

* Packaging applications and their deployment (via script or GPO depending on the application).

* Complete maintenance of both Terminal Servers.

* Creation of system images and implementation of the deployment server (currently MDT).

* Operations to be performed on the AD

* Proxy configuration on browsers

* - Proxy- servers used by certain applications in production

* Managing the WSUS server and deploying security updates.

* Documentation and procedures

Your Skills and experience :-

Essential Skills :-

Required Skills :

* Good Windows client bases, MS Office suite, ...

* Knowledge of hardware PCs and printers.

Daily administration

Required Skills :

A good foundation for the - Active Directory- administration tools, at the network level, ...

Advanced Administration

Required Skills :

* Know how to take initiatives to evolve the park and suggest choices of technologies to the customer.

* Autonomy !!!

* A good knowledge of Active Directory.

* Some ease in programming (scripting). Ideally Powershell but another language like - Visual Basic- for example would be a good foundation.

* Have a habit of deploying large-scale applications if needed.

* Knowledge of the general functioning of most network protocols.

* Drafting of procedures and documentation.

* Databases in English.

Required Skills :

* Be able to establish a - rapid- diagnosis based on scattered and sometimes imprecise information.

* Know when to delegate the problem to a higher level.
