Proteus Europe is searching for a Program Manager for our client based in Lisburn, Northern Ireland

Our Client :-

Candidates for this position will become part of a dynamic team developing software for the next generation platform for ground breaking monitoring and fault location applications on both low voltage underground cables as well as medium voltage overhead lines.

Your New role :-

We are looking an experienced Program Manager who will determine the strategy to deliver a divisional program which can consist of multiple projects. The successful candidate will have strong product development knowledge and be responsible for driving projects through all relevant stages of the Camlin Project Delivery process. Ensuring each individual project meets the objectives outlined in the project justification (specification / time / cost / quality).

The Program Manager will work closely with the Project Planning team to ensure detailed project plans are created with the input of all departmental functions including mechanical, electronics, compliance, purchasing, firmware, manufacturing, quality and operations. Validated project plans will go into a fortnightly control cycle to ensure the project status / health is constantly monitored and reported. The Program Manager works with all departmental functions to drive the project through all project delivery process stages including: - specification creation, conception design, pilot builds, testing, customer trials, pilot builds and operation setup. The Program Manager will lead gate control meetings to ensure the objectives of each stage of the Camlin Project Delivery process are met and project risks / issues are managed.

The Program Manager will be expected to liaise with internal and external stakeholders and display the motivation and drive to inject pace and energy to drive the projects to completion. The role also calls for a person who can display a proven track record of stakeholder management across a broad array of organizational levels and disciplines.

Responsibilities

- Delivering a strategy to deliver a divisional program which can consist of multiple projects.

- Impartially leading a multifunctional project team located in various geographical locations.

- Responsible for the delivery of projects from product development to product launch.

- Involved in project planning and project control meetings.

- Resource planning and budget management.

- Manage stakeholder expectations.

- Communications.

Your Skills and experience :-

Essential Skills :-

Required Criteria

- You will have a relevant third level engineering degree as a minimum, as well as:

- A proven track record as an experienced Program / Project Manager.

- Must be results oriented and drive to ensure successful completion of the projects on time, on budget and within the defined scope while leading through influence and with solid soft skills and tact.

- Operational and Engineering experience is essential.

- Stakeholder management skills and strong leadership abilities.

- Project Management Qualification would be an advantage.

Personal Attributes

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (excellent command of English written and verbal).

- Excellent time management and planning skills.

- The ability to deal with a high volume and varied workload with conflicting demands and shifting priorities.

- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Packages (to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project).

- High level of attention to detail.

- Ability to positively influence managers and other stakeholders across the company.
