SHEQ Business Partner - £40,000 - £50,000 + benefits - FTSE 100 Organisation

I am recruiting on behalf of a FTSE 100 Engineering Organization and a true market leader within engineering support services. This particular role functions within their critical services division, supporting key engineering works in major airports

To lead and support the Senior Business Partner - Airport Systems to drive the agenda through the Executive team and take responsibility for influencing the shape of the SHEQS strategy development and delivery. The role is pivotal in providing direction and support to the Advisers and BHSOs in to maintain and improve the safety and resilience of the day to day operations and to ensure everyone is "Home Safe Everyday".

Main Purpose of Role

* Business Partnering: Develop and maintain close working relationships with key functional and operational stakeholders demonstrating a clear understanding of operational challenges and safety risks that impact our employees or others.

* People Management: Manage direct line report/s, proving direction, guidance, coaching and developing talent; foster a collaborative working ethos across the wider team.

* Visible Felt Leadership: Determine the VFL strategy for the senior management team to deliver; capture the data, learning feedback; manage and execute the reporting and sharing;

* Behaviour & Expectations: Promote positive safety and security culture through leading by example, coaching managers to implement and role-model behaviour; develop and implement safety "just culture"; promotion of "catching people doing things right".

* Strategic Risk management: Support the Senior SHEQS Business Partner in determining the business unit SHEQS risks and priorities in alignment with the company's business strategy Group; develop strategies with business owners to address these risks; agree & support the delivery of the SHEQS priorities and strategies with the owners; support strategic and business SHEQ risk with expert knowledge and counsel working closely across SSD SHEQ function to drive consistency.

* Incident Management: Support line managers and oversee event investigation, evidence gathering reports and upload of information into Airsweb; lead serious/more complex events with support from line managers; manage and execute internal and external reporting, performance management and escalation requirements.

* Communication & Consultation: Ensure effective mechanisms and forums exist to update and involve employees (directly or through representatives) on changes and improvements to SHEQS policies and processes. Collaborate with the SSD SHEQ centre on ensuring high calibre reporting and comms delivery.

* Audit & Inspection: Implement audit framework across operational teams and BHSOs to ensure involvement in compliance management at all levels (as well as SHEQS): ensure compliance with regulations and controls imposed by regulatory organisations; ensure process performance / compliance is monitored / measured;

Requirements:

* Health and safety leadership experience

* CMIOSH

* Engineering background
