This is a key role in a small team of highly motivated developers, who are building the next generation of Execution Management Systems (EMS). iX-Eye is responsible for real-time execution monitoring, administration and configuration of multiple EMS's and its clients.

We are looking for someone that can fit straight into an existing team and has the ability to communicate well. Key Responsibilities

* Developing and maintaining a monitoring system for an equity trading platform.

* Developing new features relating to Mifid 2 and maintaining the application's current feature set.

* Maintaining and expanding key unit tests, integration tests, functional tests and regression tests.

* Engaging with a development team using scrum.

* Communicating within the team.

* Work closely with the 1st line support team in normal office hours, to help them with trouble shooting when required.

Key Requirements

* At least 5 years development experience in financial markets, preferably substantially more.

* Exposure to, and experience of, European equity markets and the various versions of the FiX protocol.

* Experience of web application development, using Tomcat, Spring, MariaDB, Hibernate.

* Experience of low latency/high volume messaging.

* The candidate should have strong experience using Scrum and Kanban and be able to contribute to the process positively.

* An appreciation of the term 'time-to-market' is essential.

* Ability to work without external motivation.

* The candidate should also be able to write SQL statements and stored procedures on demand.

* Knowledge of, or experience in TCP/IP sockets, NIO and high volume database scenarios would be advantageous.

Candidates should submit their CV in the first instance.
