IT Process Manager

My client, a leading Higher Education institute, is looking for an experienced IT Process Manager for an initial 6 month contract.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the introduction of new or upgraded IT systems and projects into service is managed in an effective fashion. You will also need to develop, oversee, maintain and support IT service management processes (incident, problem, change and asset management), policies and standards.

You must have at least 3 years experience of managing IT processes and significant experience of user support and liaison in a complex organization in an IT background.

You must also have: experience of the application of service level agreements; a general understanding of the IT application market, business trends and technologies.

Proactive approach to work: ability to lead and co-ordinate large projects, groups of people and activities. Analytical skills and the ability to apply creativity to solve problems. You need excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills; the ability to manage conflict and achieve consensus in order to meet strategic and tactical goals and financial objectives.

The right candidate will have a commitment to service management best practice as defined by ITIL (BS15000); commitment to quality standards and continuous improvement.
