Senior Developer - Digital Analytics

My Public Sector Client is currently looking for a Senior Developer to implement effective reporting dashboards for their services, including designing, building and maintaining underpinning technology, process and data products.

They want a developer to design and implement reporting dashboards for digital services, including building and maintaining underpinning technology, process and data product and to lead on and contribute to development of solutions throughout the stack, from database to UI.

Technology:

*Expertise with Python or JavaScript

*Experience of using a range of back-end storage mechanisms in practice: SQL and noSQL

*Experience of using version control systems for code and configuration

*Experience using TDD and/or BDD methodology in practice to drive development

*Experience of Continuous Integration / Deployment

Desirable

*Knowledge user-centred design practices

*Experience with predictive modelling

*Experience of developing within GDS or Digital First (or similar) quality standards,

*Experience of GDS performance platform, or service monitoring standards and approach

*Experience of integrating with Google Analytics

*Business process modelling

*Statistical modelling

*Familiarity of a wide range of ETL mechanisms and patterns

*Expertise in scientific programming tools eg numpy, pandas

*Expertise with visualisation tools eg d3

*Experience working with Pega

*Able to deal effectively and confidently with director-level stakeholders.

*Ability to demonstrate formal XP engineering techniques

*Building and maintaining CI / CD pipelines

*Experience using Linux as a developer

*Experience administrating *nix in a corporate environment

*Experience of devops tooling and practices: eg Docker, Ansible, infrastructure as code

*Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, PL/SQL, VMWare

*Maintainable ReSTful API design
