Our Public regulatory client are looking for a talented Business Analyst on a 12 month fix term basis. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large scale data projects . You will Join the team of Business Analysts, providing support to work stream leads across the organisation by understanding & analysing business priorities, issues and opportunities to define project scope, options and benefits to deliver business change.

Complex and challenging role with varied and changing workload; the ability to manage an evolving workload with the willingness to adapt to changing priorities and focus quickly will be essential!

* Provide expert advice and guidance to all business areas to define the business need, problem or opportunity.

* Establish strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

* Responsible for eliciting, documenting and managing business requirements.

* Responsible for producing specifications for functional and non-functional requirements.

* Accountable for producing and maintaining process, data and technical designs to support the business change and requirements.

* Accountable for analysing all information gathered during the analysis stage using lean methodologies to provide recommendations and solution options.

* Proactively support management and project manager in identifying and managing risks and issues as part of the project.

* Accountable for ensuring that any technical solution meets the business requirements and quality acceptance criteria, through thorough solution design, system testing and user acceptance testing whilst falling within the agreed budget and milestones.

* Responsible for providing support to colleagues through all key stages of the project lifecycle.

* Proactively engage with business areas and stakeholders to ensure they are kept informed of progress and are fully involved in key decisions, risk discovery and mitigation.

Responsible for the guardianship of business processes across the Commission to ensure that new enhancements or changes maintain the holistic integrity of processes, data and systems which support the Commissions corporate strategy.

* Responsibility for ensuring that the implementation of any change is fully and effectively embedded within the business area.

* Responsible for contributing to the post implementation review and benefits realisation following the implementation of a change.

Skills, knowledge, experience and qualifications

Essential Skills

* Proven experience within a Business Analysis position, ideally with experience in large scale data projects.

* Ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously on both a medium and large scale.

* Ability to gather, analyse and translation business and technical requirements.

* Strong communication skills at different levels using various styles.

* Ability to form strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

* Ability to model business processes, data and systems.
