Claims Adjuster - Professional Indemnity

London

50000 - 55000 per annum + bonus

A leading London market insurer that is looking to add to their senior technical team. You will be responsible for adjusting a caseload of complex Professional Indemnity and Liability claims through to conclusion.

Job Responsibilities

* Manage a caseload of worldwide Professional Indemnity claims through to conclusion, also handling General Liability claims when required

* Check case reserves and ensure correct provision is made for outstanding liabilities

* Liaise and negotiate with clients, brokers, loss adjusters and lawyers in the adjustment and settlement of claims, including UK and overseas travel, where necessary.

* Deal with telephone or correspondence queries for brokers and clients or make appropriate referrals.

* Assist the Claims Manager with various operational tasks, contributing towards general business strategy

Experience Required:

* Strong knowledge within Professional Indemnity claims, 3+ years exp.

* Commercial awareness within the direct and/or insurance market

* Ability to manage relationships with Brokers, Underwriters, Legal Professionals

* Knowledge of the CLASS system

* ACII / CII, or working towards
