Web Developer/Front End

My client are a fast growing, revenue generating start up and are now building out their team after closing a round of investment earlier this year. They are looking for a talented Web developer to join their team.

Responsibilities:

*Build efficient, scalable and well abstracted customer facing web-app features and

services using a mix of server side and client side technologies, and be deeply involved

in the decision making process of how and what we build.

*Be the "product design guru" in the team. You'll be expected to work with some core UX

and UI input, but also use your expertise and creativity to get the product design to "end

user readiness".

*Gain a deep understanding of our business, our processes and our customers whilst we

scale and grow - allowing you to use your judgement to advise the founding team on

key product and technology decisions.

*Work on tools / internal services to support the team in delivering exceptional

service to our customers.

Desirable Experience:

*You're a talented, independently minded engineer with strong web development

experience. You've worked on several customer facing, transactional web applications.

*You're naturally driven to build products that are intuitive to use, put customer

experience first, and are above all highly converting

*You're a developer who is very comfortable with their tooling (e.g. HTML5, CSS 3, SCSS,

Bootstrap, Angular, React, JavaScript), and up to date with the latest technologies in

your field.

*You have a proven track record of designing beautiful transactional user interfaces, and

are comfortable with your chosen design tooling (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, AdobeXD,

Sketch)

*You have a "product mindset" and can consider trade-offs, make decisions, defend

these, and drive results.

*You have a strong grasp of UX and UI design, and are able to apply this to your work

with limited guidance.

*You're able to design and build for responsiveness, both in mobile web and desktop.

*You're comfortable advising the founding team on key technical decisions relating to

the front end of the product and the interfaces between front and back end.

*You take pride in writing scalable, readable, maintainable code and have a proven

ability to deliver to design specs.

*You have worked in parallel with other front end and back end devs in teams previously,

with demonstrably good results.
