TECHNICAL BUSINESS ANALYST, NOTTINGHAM (Energy and Utilities)

Salary: £35,000 - £60,000 + benefits

A Technical Business Analyst is required to join an exciting, expanding utilities company in Nottingham on a permanent basis. The successful candidate must have some experience working in the Utilities industry working as a Technical Business Analyst and ideally will have worked on complex IT projects and also understand how the wider Energy industry works.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

* Must have worked as a Business Analyst on Technical Projects such as Data Migrations, Software Deployment/Implementation projects

* Excellent technical ability with knowledge around APIs, Data Mapping and more.

* Must be a self-starter and have client facing ability to work with partner clients

* Must have experience working in the Energy Industry (knowledge around Dataflows is considered massively advantageous)

* Must be a hands-on BA who likes to get into the detail

DESIRABLE SKILLS

* Experience implementing Utilities software or working on system implementation projects

* Understanding of project management methodologies e.g. Prince2, Waterfall, Agile, SSADM etc.

* Motivated Business Analyst, passionate about the Energy industry

Day to day role:

As Technical Business Analyst, you will be assigned a wide range of projects on a daily basis. The Technical Business Analyst must have both the soft skills and also the technical ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders whilst being able to effectively communicate technical topics to non-technical audiences. Working on technical projects such as Data Migrations, CRM Deployment projects and more, you will be required to run client workshops, effectively capturing essential high-level requirements to feed back to the development team, reporting on bugs or issues and much, much more. A broad understanding of how the Utilities industry works is important to the role, and solid BA experience is a must!
