Metering Operations Manager (Energy Industry), North West England

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 + benefits

A Metering Operations Manager (Energy Industry) is required to join a start-up Energy supplier in the North West of England on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be part of a European Utility's market entry into the UK Energy Retail market. This is an extremely exciting opportunity for someone to be involved with the launch of a new UK Energy supplier with the opportunity to travel across to the Head office for a full induction and then occasional travel to the Head office.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

* Must have experience working in the UK Energy industry for a supplier or meter installation company

* Excellent stakeholder management skills to establish and manage relationships with third party suppliers including Managed Service companies, MOPS, MAMS, DC/Das

* Ability to work independently and effectively organise your workload

* Experience as a Contracts Manager / Commercial Manager / Metering Ops Manager

* Excellent organisation skills and communication skills

DESIRABLE SKILLS

* Experience working for a start-up UK Energy supplier

* Experience working with industry participants considered highly advantageous

* Previous experience of managing meter installations and organisation of the inventory of meters in warehouses is considered massively advantageous

* SMETS1 to SMETS2 meter upgrading experience also a benefit

Day to day role:

The successful Metering Operations Manager (Energy Industry) will have a very broad role coupled with a fantastic opportunity to be the main bond for the European counterpart to join the UK Energy industry. Responsibilities will be extremely varied but will include managing all of the third party and managed service relationships, ensuring that all parties are performing to the agreed SLAs, ensuring that meter installations are timely and run smoothly, managing the inventory of meters in the warehouse / stock management / fault management, ensuring alignment of meter installation and change of supply timings and meter readings as well as liaising with the Head office on a regular basis and much, much more!. This particular person will almost have 'free reign' when it comes to the later recruitment and will really be able to 'make their stamp' on the role.
