Founded in 1984, our client is a software decision support company that provides software for the long-term monitoring of chronic disease. Their mission is to help make a significant and lasting contribution to chronic disease care on a global basis - making patient management safer and easier.

They are now seeking an enthusiastic, Software Applications Consultant to join their team in Milnthorpe and play a key role in the creation, sales, implementation and support of top class software.

Our client is looking for people whose aspirations see them getting better and better, who want more than just a job, who are after training and want to develop a wide range of skills. They need those who have made notable achievements both inside and out of work.

So, if you have commercial experience gained within a customer-facing or analytical role and an IT related degree, this is your chance to pursue your career with an exciting, growing company.

You’ll be able to grow your skills and expertise, will be provided with in-depth training and support, and will be enabled to make a real contribution AND support the delivery of chronic disease care.

In this evolving role, as a Software Applications Consultant, you will start work within the Customer Service Desk Team and it is envisaged that you will progress to supporting implementations and developments.

You’ll receive great training to support your progression, enabled to follow our client’s approach to customer service and problem solving and equipped with the tools to configure products and produce reports and questionnaires for customers. An example of this training would be with HTML, JavaScript and SQL.

From time-to-time, you will get involved in lean thinking and value-added stream process improvements.

Occasional travel to customers’ sites in the UK and overseas will be required as part of your role.

So, is this the role for you? If so, you will need:

- Commercial experience gained within a customer-facing or analytical environment

- A good level of IT literacy, especially with MS Office programmes

- A degree (or equivalent)

Enthusiastic and passionate, as a Software Applications Consultant, you’ll need to possess critical thinking skills and the ability to gather and process information within a fast-paced environment. An organised approach will be key, as will strong written and verbal communication skills.

Senior-level candidates with at least eight years’ experience will be eligible for the higher end of the salary spectrum, however, our client is eager to hear from candidates with less experience for whom the salary will be reflective of skills and experience.
