Project Manager - CMMI Governance Securities Trade Processing Middle Office Investment Bank

Project Manager from Investment banking background to work on a client migration project coordinating IT deliverables across teams and locations and to act as a single point of contact for IT to project stakeholders. The role will focus on the development, testing and migration of a client onto our outsource solution. The project is currently in early stages and the scope of services is Trade Processing and Middle Office.

The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate the following attributes to be considered for this

All Project Management tasks related to IT onboarding projects. This includes planning, task management, status tracking, issue/risk/change management (including workshops when required), managing actions, dependency management, reporting, chairing/attending governance meetings and when required escalation to senior management

Maintain all project management documentation to required internal standards.

Project tracking, control and reporting to CMMi Level 3 standards. To include management of risks, issues, dependencies, actions, budget tracking, change control and regular reporting

IT subject matter expert for team members

Project delivery to time and budget as approved by the Project Steering Committee

Collation of materials, chairing and minuting the Steering Committee meetings (internal and potentially external)

Participation and representation of the organisation at regular vendor update meetings (as required)

Liaison with IT strategy teams to ensure alignment to Global initiatives

Dealing with all levels of the organisation from developers to senior sponsors

Project manage all project related tasks across the full system life cycle

Assure that all operational readiness tasks are completed and tested as appropriate prior to implementation, including testing

Work with teams across multiple locations (including London, Glasgow, Paris, Luxembourg, USA and Chennai)

Completion of all necessary processes and procedures to promote applications to production environment, including support handover

Plan, test and ensure that the technical changes are controlled and BAU KPI's are not impacted with the implementation

Close liaison with Project Managers for downstream systems to ensure that impact testing is scheduled and completed in line with project plan

Monitor and report budget and spend for projects

Essential:

Proven project management experience in an outsource environment

Proven track record for project delivery, specifically of large scale IT platform implementations or migration projects

Financial industry experience

IT systems implementation background

Strong negotiating skills

Excellent communication and relationship building skills

Experience of project planning

Able to adapt and respond in a rapidly changing environment

Able to work to tight deadlines

Be flexible and step beyond this role as and when required

Resolving issues in a timely manner

Client facing experience

Vendor management experience

Migration to a Trade Processing platform

Migration to a Middle Office platform

Prince II, PMP or equivalent (desired but not essential)

ITIL V3 or similar qualification (not essential)
