Secondary Loan Trading Closer

A Secondary Loan Trading Closer is required to join a well-known, large, local bank on a contract basis based in Canary Wharf.

As the Closer you will be responsible for the closing of Claims, Distressed and PAR traded secondary loan trades in a timely manner and ensuring that risks are kept to a minimum.

Key Accountabilities:

* Liaison with Legal internal/external giving feedback on Distressed and Claims traded documents, following trade life cycle from trade to settlement

* Resolution of long outstanding trades, taking action to actively close

* Support the SLT Settlements team through project work as allocated to improve processes, procedures and systems operated within the team.

* Close liaison with the Sales, Trading and Closing teams, Legal and Agents to ensure the smooth processing of trade transactions.

* Ensuring that Trades are updated in banks systems SENTRY, and Loan IQ in accordance with banks procedures to accurately reflect purchase or sale risk and PnL accounting requirements.

Essential skills/experience:

* Previous secondary loan closing experience is a significant advantage for the role as would be legal understanding of documents.

* Strong communications skills.

* Knowledge of Loan IQ.
