Business Data Analyst

The Role

A leading UK bank are looking for an experienced Business Data Analyst to work on a large project improving credit risk reporting. You will be supporting the migration of credit risk reporting from a legacy platform onto the strategic architecture. This in an initial six month contract based in Edinburgh, the initial day rate on offer is £405/day. The ideal candidate will have both data analysis and data warehousing experience and a good understanding of credit risk data.

The core responsibilities of the Business Data Analyst will be:

* Conducting technical systems investigations, data analysis and gap analysis

* Workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement

* Ensuring all business / data analysis deliverables are completed in accordance with established processes, practices and procedures, and meet pre-defined standards of quality

* Identification, mitigation and escalation of risks and issues

Essential Skills/Experience

* A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Financial Services change environment or a consultancy, primarily as a Data / Systems Analyst

* Experience of Data Analysis and Data Warehousing within a Commercial banking environment

* Good understanding of credit risk data

* Expert Oracle / SQL skills, experience of Trillium (desirable), PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, MS Project skills

* Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and across different audiences
