Claims Team Leader

Hampshire

34000 - 37000 per annum + bonus

Client is a leading commercial insurer in the heart of Hampshire. They are currently looking to hire a Claims Team Leader, to lead a team of 10+ Handlers. You will provide key technical leadership and also working closely with the Claims Manager on business strategy. You will manage the claims process from initial notification through to settlement and ensure your team provides the highest level of customer experience. This team will cover Public Liability, Employers Liability and Property Damage claims.

Role Responsibilities:

* Manage a team of 10+ Claims Handlers, providing technical leadership and setting weekly/monthly objectives

* Technical referral point for more complex Public Liability, Employers Liability and Property Damage claims

* To work with internal and external lawyers to ensure cases are settled

* To ensure team provides an excellent level of customer experience at all times

* Manage all appraisals and staff training and development

* General claims strategy, process improvement and contribution towards claims efficiency

* Regulation management and fraud prevention

Key Skills / Experience Required:

* 3+ years experience managing a claims team, with a reputable commercial/personal lines insurer

* Strong knowledge of Public Liability, Employers Liability and/or Property Damage claims

* Strong commercial awareness within commercial/personal lines insurance

* Ability to manage key stakeholder relationships

* CII / Dip CII Qualification preferred
