Data Management - Snr Manager Credit Risk Data

Salary c. £65,000-£75,000 plus benefits and bonus

Leading international bank is currently seeking an experienced Data Management professional to join their Credit Risk Data team based in Canary Wharf. The team is responsible for designing the data strategy and the management and delivery of data into the analytical and modelling functions in the bank.

The Credit Risk Modelling and Portfolio Analytics functions rely on the accuracy of the data they are receiving to make informed business decisions. You and your team will be responsible for preparing modelling-friendly analytical datamarts, ensuring that model input data is accurate and the end to end processes are well structured by following a rigorous governance and standard framework. This data will be used for Capital, Impairment, IFRS9 work etc.

Your role will be an integral part of the business achieving timely and accurate aggregated risk reporting. You will be responsible for understanding and defining what is required from a reporting perspective and making sure the data is structured and mapped to allow the risk function to produce the reports required.

To be successful in these roles, you will have a highly analytical mind with a strong attention to detail, as well as the ability to manage stakeholders effectively and challenge the "as is" to make sure the risk function moves the reporting solution forward.

You will be able to offer the following experience

* A high level of analytical work experience in financial services strongly preferred.

* Experience of over sighting data provisioning processes is essential

* Experience of Project Management and People Management is required

* Extensive knowledge of SAS (Base, EG, DI), Rational Databases (Oracle, Teradata etc.), UNIX, Tivoli and other analytic toolsets.

* Experience in consumer credit risk and/or finance analytics across customer lifecycle

* Knowledge of financial services portfolios. Awareness of the economy, market and customer trends affecting the business.

* Familiarity with analytical techniques and their value in business
