My client, a Tier 1 Investment Bank, are looking to hire an experienced Business Analyst with knowledge of Intraday Liquidity and Cash Management. This will be based at their London office.

About The Team

Within Treasury Transformation, the Intraday Liquidity (IDL) team provides technology solutions for the Treasury and Treasury Operations teams, which in turn provide funding and liquidity management services across the Group. This is made up of intraday funding advice (cash and collateral based) across central and agent bank accounts, liquidity and payment release management, balance transfers, analytics and trend reporting and Management Information and regulatory reporting. This particular hire will help deliver a strategic platform to support intraday liquidity (IDL) and funding requirements for Treasury and Treasury Operations.

Overall purpose of role:

As a Technical Business Analyst, your primary responsibility is to produce high quality actionable user-stories as part of an Agile team. These stories drive the delivery of critical product and platform capabilities to support Treasury and Treasury Operations. You will build & maintain strong relationships with your Product Owner and other senior stakeholders. In addition, you will support the data on-boarding process end-to-end from including securing interlock with data providers through integration testing, deployment, activation, validation & remediation until ready for business use. The role is hands-on including manipulation of data received from data providers and reconciliation with other sources to assess its accuracy.

Key Accountabilities and Skills required:

o Leadership - support your Agile team be high performing, highly effective, self-organizing team;

o Stakeholder management - communicate effectively with Product Owner, Architecture Owner, Project Manager and our Agile teams across multiple locations (London, Prague, NY and Pune)

o Ownership - demonstrate a strong sense of ownership for the Latitude platform;

o 3rd party relationship - maintain and foster relationships with partner organizations including IB, Corporate and Retail teams; as well as Planixs who provide the Realiti product;

o Decision making and problem solving - use robust analysis techniques to assess options and identify & agree solutions for key issues

o Technical expertise - use of technical expertise to constructively challenge; resolve technical issues; hands-on resolution of issues and bridging any gaps

o Quality Assurance - driving quality, providing constructive feedback to your colleagues

o Staff development - acting as role model for more junior team members; seeking and providing feedback on your performance

Skills and Qualifications

o Knowledge of investment banking, settlement & clearing processes & infrastructure, payments and accounting systems

o Deep knowledge and experience working with, and interpreting SWIFT messaging including MT900/910, MT940/950, MT545/547, MT298, MT012/019, etc. for Central Banks and Agents and various payment schemes

o Hands-on experience with data analysis and reconciliation tasks and tools (SQL, Qlikview, etc.); reviewing & manipulating XML/JSON messages through an event-driven component architecture

o Communicate highly complex technical topics in a concise manner that stakeholders can understand

o Strong analytical skills and logical thinking to manage issues in a high-pressure environment

o Experience working as a hands-on BA on large and complex data acquisition projects

o Experience working in an Agile team using JIRA, Jbehave, etc to capture business requirements from Product Owners and produce actionable user stories that meet INVEST principles

o Experience working on cash management and intraday liquidity processes and implementations

o Ability to produce high quality, well structured, concise written and verbal material in English

o Experience working with a highly distributed team (multiple locations, and staff from vendors, consultant and contractors)

o Experience working collaboratively with the development team to continually improve processes e.g. branching strategy, DevOps, automated test-build & deployment, TDD/BDD, etc.
