DevOps Team Lead / Senior Linux Engineer (Automation Linux Docker Kafka microservices Agile). Peer-to-Peer lending site that has facilitated over £1.8 billion in loans is seeking a senior, hands-on Linux DevOps Engineer with a broad range of technical knowledge.

You'll head up a small DevOps team of four engineers, focussing on removing inefficiencies in the way the company use (or don't use) technology and automating processes wherever possible. You'll help design and support the technical infrastructure to support company growth and be instrumental in a Greenfield project to build a real-time event driven architecture with Kafka at its core. As a senior member of the company you'll liaise with Agile tribes and the management team to help create a strategy to create a platform that is suitable for everyone's needs.

Requirements:

*Passionate technologist with a keen desire to automate processes

*Strong experience with Linux administration (Ubuntu, CoreOS), Linux containers and orchestration (must have Docker experience, Kubernetes is a nice to have)

*Good knowledge of at least one programming language (Ruby, Python, .Net or Go)

*Experience of technically leading / managing a team

*Collaborative and pragmatic with excellent communication skills

*Desirable: knowledge of event streaming, Kafka, AWS
