Façade Project Manager position - top-tier main contractor - paying up to £60k + package

One of my best clients (and one of the UK's largest main contractors) requires at least 1 Façade Project Manager to work on major D&B construction projects in Manchester. This is an opportunity to join a top 5 UK contractor working on prestigious and challenging £100m+ D&B schemes in the high-rise, university, public building and education sectors.

You will work within a premium calibre team through the Design, pre-con, manufacture and delivery phases of the façade package, liaising with project delivery staff and end clients to deliver the project to spec, on time and in budget.

The successful Façade Project Manager will receive:

* Basic salary up to £60k

The successful Façade Project Manager will be able to:

* Manage façade design development from concept design feasibility to completion

* Guarantee design process in accordance with the programme

* Ensure company H&S approach is implemented in façade design and delivery

* Run design meetings with Architects, specialist subbies, consultants and clients representative

* Manage & monitor procurement, manufacture and assembly of specialist items

* To advise commercial and delivery staff on risks, potential critical design items and/or opportunity for commercial benefits

You must have:

* Thorough knowledge of curtain walling design and construction processes

* Capability to review and comment drawings

* Broad expertise in curtain walling technical principles incl. mechanics, optics, acoustics, thermophysics & fluid dynamics

* Ability to chair and steer meetings

* Problem solving skills and the ability to think laterally

* Ability to face and manage workload peaks

* Excellent communication skills
