GCS - Group Corporate Systems - is a Unit, part of the Technology Department, whose mission is to provide technical support on the new Group Corporate Applications.

This organization will be distributed across Europe having the technical demand resources, to which this advertising refers, mainly located in UK while the development center will be in Italy.

Job Purpose/Key Responsibilities

AsTechnical Design Lead within the GCS you will be focused on the procurement process and you will be responsible for the following activities :

* Collection of the demand for IT Technical work (projects, changes) by interacting with the business functions to understand their functional requirements for change and prioritization

* Production (in collaboration with the Competency Centre) of a high-level technical solution document that will need to be agreed with the business and meet the Functional requirements provided by Governance & Change

* Provision of the estimates (time and effort) for the Technical work (in collaboration with the Competency Centre) and discussion/sharing with the business counterpart for approval

* Review the test plan for the work and ensure application testing is in line with technical design.

* Being the GCS point of contact with the Group Procurement and Finance teams, ensuring:

o Alignment of GCS with the Finance & Procurement strategy at group and country level

o Understanding of the end to end Procure to Pay related initiatives and evaluating their impact in terms of supporting Corporate Ariba and SAP Information systems

o Active support of Procurement and Finance transformation and improvement, by exploiting the IT features and capabilities

o Quality and customer satisfaction monitoring with respect of the IT services provided by GCS to Procurement and Finance against agreed service levels

* Maintain and develop knowledge of the Procure to Invoice Business Process (Procurement master data management, vendor qualification, contract management, bid management, purchasing requisitions and orders, good/service receipts, Invoice verification and exception handling, procurement visibility and tracking, spending analysis, vendor performance and rating, reporting) and of the related Technical Solution Template as built in the ARIBA and SAP platforms and surrounding applications for Finance and HR.

* Facilitate the integration/coordination with the other GCS SAP/ARIBA teams dedicated to Application Build and Test - including user support reviewing application testing and compiling test plans with the Competency centre.

* Participate in global and local IT initiatives in order to ensure: design effectiveness and consistency with the solution template; business activation, key decision sign-off

* Support the User Acceptance Test phase from a technical perspective to intercept issue, monitor quality levels and customer satisfaction,

Candidate Specification

In order to be successful in this challenging position, you will have:

* Good functional expertise of Procurement applications (including the integration model with other Finance applications) and desirably of those ones which are managed by the GCS for Procurement/Finance:

o SAP/Opentext VIM (Vendor Invoice Management)

o SAP BI Tools (BW and BO)

o ARIBA On Demand (SIM, SPM, Sourcing, Contract Management, Procure to Order, Procurement content, Contract Compliance)

o ARIBA Network (Order Collaboration, Invoice Collaboration)

* Significant expertise in terms of application life cycle management, especially with respect to the Demand/Inception/Design phase

* Good capability to influence / drive decisions and to be recognized by the business counterparts and from the internal team as a trusted and reliable reference point.

* Must be able to discuss leading industry processes/practices

* Good capability to manage the relationship and coordination with business and technical teams , facilitating aligning around requirements and technical solution design

* Very good communication skills (in English and optionally Italian and German languages) to internal/external counterparts, able to produce clear written presentations, to document requirements, to formalize options and decisions

* Good conceptual and analytical skills - demonstrating outside-the-box problem solving skills

* Results oriented with ability to produce products that deliver organizational benefit

* Familiarity with working in a high-volume, international and dynamic environment.

* Required to travel for short periods to other SKY European locations fairly regularly
