One of the largest Digital Agencies within the Education Sector are looking for VP Engineer/Tech Lead. Within this role, you will be given the opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies and work with products that are rolled out to 80% of the universities in the UK and several in the US.

After heavy investment, this company has grown rapidly from start-up status to a very well-respected firm. However, they are continuing to grow every day, and therefore this is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career with an ambitious company. Moreover, you will be rewarded a salary of up to £70,000, depending on your own experience.

Responsibilities

* Lead, manage and motivate the engineering team (Mobile / Web / API / QA / UX)

* Ensure the team understands the company vision and are inspired to deliver

* Refine engineering processes to ship quickly whilst maintaining stability

* Be responsible for delivering high quality, stable products on time

* Advocate, educate and implement agile processes and thinking

* Be a voice for engineering across the business, and externally

* Work closely with the CEO and VP Product to deliver on strategy and roadmap

* Identify risks, document architecture and drive innovation

* Work with team leads, provide direction and coach them to succeed

* Manage individuals, understand their goals, and coach them to succeed

* Always be recruiting - meeting with potential hires, and understanding gaps

* Prioritise work, understand timescales and organise teams accordingly

* Actively contribute to the product and gain in-depth knowledge

* Understand our customer's goals and expectations

* Familiarity with our stack (PHP / JS (React / Angular) / AWS)
