Enterprise Data Architect - Glasgow

The Company

Spring Technology's public sector client is currently recruiting an Enterprise Data Architect for a digital transformation project and enhance the role of technology in public services. In this position you will be integral in enhancing systems that keep the public safe.

The Role: Enterprise Data Architect

As a Enterprise Data Architect you will work closely with the Head of Applications & Development to creating and developing the enterprise data architect road map for the cooperate data systems. This will involve providing technical strategy and guidance for the development and delivery for a new data domain. You will be integral in ensuring that the data domain aligns with the ever changing demands in this industry.

Responsibilities include:

Responsible for defining the technical road map and explain the necessary migration steps

You will be responsible for the overall development, implementation, and management of an enterprise data architecture aligned within the overall strategy.

Be a key player in implementing advanced data techniques such as, of advanced data techniques, including data modelling, data access, data integration, data visualisation, text mining and more.

Work alongside the DBA Lead and BI lead to establish the standard of advanced data analytics and text mining.

Work with other technical departments and 3rd party vendors to define and understand relevant transformational business requirements/ processes.

Responsible for designing data warehouse schemas, ETL, and data management processes.

Your skills and experience will include:

Extensive experience with Oracle, XML, Microsoft BI stack (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS) and SQL

Experience in advanced data modelling

Experience designing end-to-end enterprise applications for Oracle and/or Microsoft solutions

Experience designing complex data integration, storage and management solutions

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
