Senior Quantity Surveyor

Day rate: £400pd

Contract Length: 6 months

I have just registered a urgent freelance vacancy with a top tier main contractor to work on a highways project to be based in Leatherhead.

Main purpose of the job:

* Quantity Surveying support to Commercial Manager (Delivery).

* Contractual operation of our Renewal and Improvement Schemes.

Nature of formal contacts (with DBFO/HA etc):

Regular interaction with CPS Leadership Team and Management, HA and CP professionals, CPS Design and Scheme Delivery Teams

Key responsibilities / duties:

* Contractual administration of high value Framework Subcontractors.

* Commercial resolution of Subcontract accounts, including Framework Subcontractors.

* Commercial resolution with Clients of Scheme outcomes, including payments.

* Operation of Scheme Change Control.

* Estimating/pricing support to Schemes.

* Client and Supply Chain Framework liaison.

* Quantity surveying activities in Delivery.

* General Quantity Surveying support/duties.

Person Specification

Qualifications/ skills/ experience:

* 10 years quantity surveying experience required, including 5 years at Senior QS grade.

* Demonstrable NEC knowledge and experience required.

* Experience of Multi-Scheme working required, preferably in a Maintenance and Renewal environment.

* Professional quantity surveying qualifications preferred.

* Diligent IT and presentation skills
