Senior Java Developer/AWS

Location: Moorgate

Day to day activities would include:

* Working in an agile delivery team and attending daily stands-up to provide updates on progress and any blockers

* Working closely with the Technical Architect to ensure a clear understanding of the agreed design and providing input into the design where needed

* Coordinating closely with other members of the development team

* Supporting the project manager and Business Analyst with Sprint planning by detailing required development tasks and providing estimates to complete

Mandatory Technical and Functional Skills:

* Java Development experience

* AWS platform development experience

* Strong experience with Java 8, XML, JSON, Spring, PL/SQL

* RESTful web services, Micro Service Architecture

* Strong understanding of design patterns, OOP, and data structure

* Excellent problem solving skills

Desirable Technical Skills:

* Elasticsearch, NoSQL Database

* Test Driven Development: Junit, Jenkins, Mavin

* AWS Technologies (API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, Kinesis)

* Web development experience

* Familiar with serverless application architecture
