BUSINESS ANALYST, (ENERGY AND UTILITIES) Leighton Buzzard/Milton Keynes (>£45,000)

Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 + Benefits
A Business Analyst is required to join an exciting, expanding energy retailer on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have experience in the industry working as a Business Analyst and will offer solutions and improvements to business processes to ensure the continuation of growth within the business.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
* Must have a MINIMUM of 2+ years' experience working with an Energy Provider (preferably a start-up or independent energy retailer)
* Excellent communication skills to engage and challenge stakeholders
* Must have expertise in requirements gathering and running workshops
* Excellent process mapping skills using MS Visio
Desirable Skills
* Experience in Billing considered MASSIVELY ADVANTAGEOUS
* Understanding of project management methodologies e.g. Prince2, Waterfall, Agile
* Motivated Business Analyst, passionate about the Energy industry
* Flexibility to work and adapt to a fast-paced and high pressured environment
* Ideally 3+ years working professionally as a Business Analyst
Day to day role:
As a Business Analyst you will be assigned a wide range of projects on a daily basis. Once assigned a project, you will be assigned project priorities for its completion as well as reviewing existing documentation, frequently developing technical documentation, capturing business requirements, facilitating workshops, engaging various senior stakeholders including senior developers, as well as hastily addressing any potential problems. Successful candidates will have the ability to challenge existing processes in order to improve them and must be able to deal with many tasks at one given time, working independently in a fast-paced environment. The Business Analyst we are looking for is not a note-taker, but someone who is thick skinned and not scared to challenge stakeholders!
