Senior CAD Design Engineer (2D & 3D)

Excellent role on offer for a CAD Technician looking to join a world leading specialist manufacturing company where you will enjoy a varied role for a company that are well known to look after their staff.

Do you have strong 2D AutoCAD experience and 3D CAD experience in either Inventor or Solidworks? Do you have experience of creating assembly, fabrication and manufacturing drawings? Are you looking for a step up into a role where you will oversee a small team of 4 Cad Technicians?

This company are the world leaders in the manufacture of specialist structures used within high profile sectors worldwide such as Water, Waste Water, Biofuels, Renewable Energy and Biofuels sectors. With a current turnover of £22 million they have a 3 year plan to increase this to £45 million due to huge demands and changing legislations they are looking to expand the business and are therefore looking to recruit a CAD Technician who will support the design and development department.

In this role you will be required to produce fabrication and construction drawings using 2D AutoCAD. They are in the process of implementing 3D modelling software therefore the role will lead into doing more 3D draughting. You will produce bills of materials for customer specific orders and production. The company can provide full training on any skills gaps, however experience of 2D CAD is essential. Part of your role would be to oversee a small team of 4 CAD Technicians to provide assistance and support them on their day to day workload.

This is a varied role which would be an ideal opportunity for a CAD Technician who has good mechanical draughting experience who is looking for a Senior role where you will manage your own projects from start to finish as well as oversee a small team.

The Role;

* Oversee a small team of 4 CAD Technicians

* Support and maintain a design and development programme to meet customer requirements

* Design using 2D AutoCAD

* 3D Draughting once fully implemented

* Creating bills of materials (BOMs)

* Creating assembly drawings for fabrication and manufacture

* CAD Technician

* Must have design experience of 2D AutoCAD

* Must have good mechanical draughting experience

* Must have the desire to oversee a small team

* Must have excellent communication skills
