A thriving SME manufacturing company based in Swindon are looking for a Systems Engineer / Architect to join their expanding team.

Job Title: Systems Engineer / Architect

Location: Swindon

Salary: £55,000

About the Role:

As the System Engineer / Architect, you will be responsible for the solution architecture of various new product developments. You will have experience handling projects throughout the full systems engineering life-cycle from capturing the user need, sub-assembly testing, system integration testing and final acceptance.

Essential Skills:

* An electronics degree or equivalent, with at least 5 years of relevant industry experience

* Experience producing RF systems architectures, evaluating link budgets, planning heterodyne converters, and developing statistically driven line-up analysis

* Working knowledge of systems engineering life-cycle management methods, processes, and techniques; including capture, manipulation, and management of requirements

* Knowledge of architecting embedded software systems for custom hardware solutions

* Proven ability using PCB layout tools (Orcad, Cadence, Mentor Graphics, Altium, PADS)

The candidate:

The candidate will have a proven record of absorbing and analysing knowledge to rapidly become a subject matter expert, and demonstrate technical leadership in applying that.
