Our Central Government client based in London are currently recruiting for a DevOps Infrastructure Specialist. This will be an initial 6 month contract with the potential for further extensions of up to 18 months (two years in total).

Role Profile

* Build linux infrastructure in AWS and in Physical Datacentre using Puppet

* Support Linux, Solaris and AIX hybrid systems

* Provide Expert knowledge and be an escalation point of contact for Solaris and AIX systems

* Work with IBM and Oracle Vendors

Projects:

* Build linux infrastructure in AWS and in Physical Datacentre.

* Support Linux, Solaris and AIX hybrid systems

* Provide Expert knowledge and be an escalation point of contact for Solaris and AIX systems

Key Skills / Experience

* Puppet advanced knowledge (you will be asked to write puppet code in the interview)

* Linux advance to expert knowledge

* Advanced Shell scripting (you will be asked to write shell scripts on the interview)

* One of the high level scripting languages: ruby, perl, python (you will be asked to code on the interview)

* Solaris and/or AIX advanced knowledge and willingness to learn another

* IBM and/or SPARC architecture advanced knowledge and willingness to learn another

* 2 years experience of Storage technologies and SAN

* Good understanding of Backup Software(one of Tivoli, Networker, NetBackup)

* Good understanding of Network protocols, firewalls, network security, loadbalancing

* Any exposure to Oracle DB

* Any exposure to AWS

* Shoud this be 'exposure toDocker'
