Application Analyst (12 Month Contract)

Our client is a charity that saves lives by providing a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service, seasonal lifeguards, water safety education and initiatives, and flood rescue response.

They are currently implementing a number of significant applications, including Dynamics AX, and are building a new team to deliver technical support and solutions; to provide new, efficient and innovative ways of delivering their lifesaving service. As such, our client is now looking for an Application Analyst to join their team on a 12 month contract.

As an Application Analyst, you will deliver technical support to the organisation and ensure the smooth running of all aspects of applications.

In this stimulating role, you will:

- Work with partners and customers to conduct root cause analysis and evaluate and generate ideas

- Contribute to the design of solutions for improvement and effectively implement plans

- Test new and existing applications and perform post-resolution follow-ups

- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including application business partners, IT and management teams to help identify technical opportunities, mitigate risks and deliver technical change/improvements in the most effective way

- Manage the priority, schedule and administration of all instances where enhancements and defect resolutions are required

To be considered, you will need:

- Experience of enterprise and desktop applications, such as SharePoint, AX Dynamics 2012, Dynamics CRM or other complex applications

- Previous experience of working with, and an understanding of, third party application integrations and/or interfaces and third party suppliers

- Strong knowledge and experience of ITIL application support principles

- A diploma, ideally a degree, in computer science, information systems or equivalent

As an Application Analyst, you’ll be pragmatic, able to work in a fast-paced environment, logical and collaborative in your approach to problem-solving. You’ll also have strong interpersonal skills and will be able to quickly learn new skills and concepts.
