Embedded Software Test & Validation Engineer

This is a fast-paced sector requiring strong design and problem-solving skills to support projects with short design cycle times and high production volumes. The successful applicant will become a major contributor to a highly motivated software development team developing software solutions to meet demanding safety and quality standards.

What we are looking for

* University Degree in Electronics, Software or System Engineering, Mechatronics engineering

* Minimum 4 years of experience in testing embedded software, preferably in High Integrity Level Software (Example: ISO26262/DO178C)

* Programming knowledge in real-time, embedded C

* Knowledge of working with Python

* Tools: Working proficiency of Configuration Management System (Example: PTC Integrity) and Requirements Management System (DOORS), Embedded software test tools such as MxVDev, Test Stand, VeriStand

What you'll do Reporting to the software test manager and working in a dynamic, multi-project environment, you will:

* Review the test basis (such as software requirements, software Integrity level, architecture, design, interfaces) and evaluate the testability of the requirements provided by software requirements engineer

* Design test cases and create bi-directional traceability between test basis and test cases, create test scenarios for the test cases in Danlaw's MxVDev

* Execute regression tests or retests for the planned deliveries, log the results and configure the work products in PTC Integrity

* Log bugs found during testing and provide test summaries, as required, for each project deliverables

* Be a subject matter expert for functional areas assigned
