Are you a Continuous integration specialist? an expert in Jenkins, Teamcity and Ansible?

Our leading European IT services client with offices worldwide are looking to hire a contract CI specialist, located in Maidenhead. Interview slots immediately available.

Main duties:

* Active participation (e.g. Agile ceremonies) within a Scrum team delivering a Continuous Delivery pipeline as a 'self-service' product for the client's development community.

* Refine and assess user stories in order to develop code that delivers value to pipeline.

* Maintain and establish a high standard of code quality and testing rigor through best practices

* Provide regular assistance to the development community using the pipeline.

Skills Required:

* Good working knowledge of Continuous Integration/Delivery concepts and tools such especially Jenkins or TeamCity / Bamboo etc.

* Excellent working knowledge with configuration management and automation tools especially Ansible.

* Good working knowledge and recent experience with Docker containers.

* Excellent working knowledge of software versioning tools including Git, GitFlow/FeatureBranch

* Proficient and competent skills with code/scripting, e.g. BASH, Python, Groovy etc.

* Good working knowledge of software build tools (Maven), artefact repository managers (Nexus).

* Familiarity and appreciation of JIRA and Confluence and other productivity tools (Slack, Trello etc)

* Multi Operating System knowledge: Windows, Linux OS services.

* Good networking, TCP/IP knowledge and security awareness.

Desirable:

* Good understanding of Micro-Services, SOA principles and surrounding technologies; especially Kubernetes.

* Good working knowledge of other configuration management and automation tools such as Puppet, Chef, Salt.

* Good working knowledge of automated testing frameworks such as Molecule / TestInfra / PyTest.

* Understanding of application deployment and release management best practices including A/B, Canary, Dark Launches.

* Good understanding of various IaaS platforms including Virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V)
