The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer is required in an exciting, pioneering and growing medical device organisation in Galway. The role is to implement quality controls that will ensure the raw materials and mixing processes for the products continue to meet the high standards associated with the company brand.

The fast changing environment means systems and processes must continually evolve and keep pace with increasing complexity. I am seeking someone with a strong process mind-set and analytical skills to support continuous improvement efforts. You will play a key role interfacing with the company's R&D team to develop risk analyses and control plans to guarantee product performance.

What will you be doing?

You will be working on iso9001 for Class II medical devices. In addition to this, you will lead technical troubleshooting and continuous improvement projects in order to reduce variation. International travel is required at approx 15%.

What skills/experience should you have?

* Track record of working with suppliers

* Ability to focus on R&D and Raw materials suppliers

* Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline

* Significant experience of working in a high volume manufacturing facility

Although not essential requirements for the role, if you have a black belt in Six Sigma and can demonstrate solid Lean manufacturing experience, then this may benefit your application. A chemistry background is an advantage.
