Proteus Europe is searching for an ETL Tester for a 3-4 month contract with possible extension; based in West/NorthWest London.

Rate: £250 per day.

Your New role :-

ETL Testing :

- Data extraction from the multiple source systems with transformation logic

- Loading the data with FTP to target system

- Loading of the ETL data to the staging data base and then transposing into fact tables

- ETL Scheduler testing involves job running and dependency testing, debugging job failures etc.

Report testing :

- Understanding of the report requirements from technical and business documents

- Attending Report Spike meetings with Business Analysts for detailed understanding / clarifications

- Attending sprint planning meeting for task estimation

- Creation of Oracle queries for extracting data based on technical mapping document provided by BA

- Test scenario preparation and test data preparation for report testing.

Business Reports here are usually with more no. of transaction measures involving complex calculations.

- Raising clarifications and involving in discussions in early stages of creation of test artefacts.

- Once release to QA, testing the report (Data comparison, standards validations etc.) which follows by UAT Signoff support.

Your Skills and experience :-

Essential Skills :-

- Good Query writing knowledge in oracle

- Complex test data preparation in excel needs good excel formula knowledge

- Familiarity with Report testing tool is SAP Business Object

- Retail domain knowledge

- Basic unix commands for running scripts
