My Client based in Sunbury requires a Business Analyst
Project Outline
TOP-LP Programme is delivering a new Linear Programming (LP) optimization solution at all Refineries and Rhine Supply.
This solution will provide the BP Business with key supportive information to make critical decisions to optimise Refinery production.
This LP solution went live in late 2016 running on a mixed BP hosted and Cloud infrastructure to provide high capacity calculation capability.
This utilised an in-house developed tactical integration solution to enable data input and the reporting capabilities of the chosen software solution.
There is a need to develop a set of data interface solutions which will support LP set up and output reporting for the refining assets and product supply teams
A Business Analyst is required for the Data Integration Project workstream to:
Work with project SME to ensure business requirements are collected, verified and complete, and business teams are engaged throughout the project
Gather the functional requirements for application development / enhancement etc.
Carry out business process mapping, business process reengineering and business process analysis wherever needed, including highlighting opportunities and benefits of change and assisting in the change management process
Work with other analysts and contribute to finalizing the functional requirements
Responsible for ensuring the right level of functional knowledge in the technical team
Review UAT scenarios and training materials
Review of testing approach and materials to ensure business requirements are met
Assist in Third Line Support of production issue resolution as it pertains to data integration
Audit business blueprint/ design documents for configuration readiness
Key Criteria
Business Analysis capabilities particularly in the Commercial Optimisation area
Experience of previous projects requiring business analysis, data interface development, testing, deployment and handover to support
Experience of previous and recent projects to deliver data input and output capabilities
ITIL understanding
Delivery oriented, working to agreed timelines and meeting the committed schedule
Ability to propose alternative options and to optimize the solution
Ability to engage with a large number of stakeholders, from both the Business and IT, to drive toward consensus
Desirable Criteria
Knowledge of Capital Value Process (CVP) methodology
Knowledge of Primary and Secondary Distribution
