ICT Infrastructure Team Lead/ Contract/ Edinburgh/ 3 months/ AD/VMware/Routers

Spring Technology is currently recruiting for an ICT Infrastructure Team Lead to work with our public sector client in Edinburgh who falls inside the IR35. This is a 3 month contract role with the possibility to extend. The successful candidate must hold Basic Disclosure Scotland before the interview; this can be applied for right after you have spoken to me. Travel to our offices in central and west Edinburgh will at times be necessary.

Essential skills:

*Demonstrable experience as a credible manager in a corporate ICT Infrastructure environment.

*Demonstrable experience and track-record of successfully delivering ICT infrastructure solutions and services in support of organisational programmes and projects.

*Ability to plan, schedule, prioritise and coordinate the delivery of work activities in support of operational services and project work.

*Experienced in the development of teams, skills development and knowledge transfer.

*Extensive experience in Virtual Machine implementation and the management of a VMware installation in an enterprise environment

*Experience or knowledge of PC and Server architecture environments, Active Directory, System Centre products and the Window operating systems.

*Experience of enterprise Storage Area Networks.

*Experience and skills in configuring and supporting networking solutions and tools (IP, routers, hubs and firewalls etc.) and concepts.

*An understanding of multi-tier business systems.

*Experience of Window business applications (Office products etc.).

*Proven ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

*Desirable skills:

*Knowledge of information security and Public Service Network (PSN)

*Project management / PRINCE2 Practitioner

*Relevant ICT qualifications. (Professional or other vender certification), in particular VMware, Microsoft and Cisco, certification.

*Knowledge of the ITIL framework, foundation or above.

*Experience of using an enterprise level backup environment
