My client based in the Glasgow region are currently actively recruiting for software developers with a keen interest in Java based development, to join one of our software development teams working within an exciting, agile development environment.

Within this role, you will be working with major clients within the Education sector. Based in Hamilton, you will be working on a large portal that has rapidly spread across most of the schools, universities and exam boards North of the border.

Candidates must have excellent IT skills with exposure to Java software development, together with an ability to interpret business requirements and technical specifications to meet customer requirements.

You should have gained knowledge and experience in the areas of software analysis, design, coding and testing and will be expected to develop, configure, test, monitor and maintain applications and provide technical written documentation to support the software developed.

Working in an agile team, you must be able to communicate effectively and switch between tasks quickly and efficiently.

Salary - up to £40,000
