C# / .Net Developer

My Client is looking for a senior developer/tester with strong communication skills and an ability to work flexibly in a highly dynamic environment comprising traders, middle office staff, other front office analysts and developers.

The technology stack is Windows Services, C#, and SQL Server 2014:

*Good C# development skills, strong WCF and server-side programming

*An understanding of financial products or prior and recent experience working in the financial sector (especially to tight delivery schedules)

*Proven experience and understanding of object-orientated design principles

*Very good cooperation skills

*Very Good Analytical Thinking

*Very Good Conceptual Thinking

*Very autonomous, ability to organise oneself.

*Ability to learn by himself, ability to navigate the firm without assistance.

*Developing against work items, unit testing own work and capturing and discussing work items for colleagues, shares his knowledge to help the team grow.

*Being fully transparent with Project Manager with regards to development status, risks and issues

*When required able to facilitate the packaging and release process of software developed.

*3rd line support: Liaising with support teams to assist in diagnosing and resolving production issues

*Good testing skills.

*Good ability to use front-office trade booking systems to book trades for testing purposes.

Essential:

?Relevant degree

?Excellent knowledge and working practice of the English language: most of the time the role involves working with English speakers and read a lot of documentation in English.

?Good experience using the C# programming language.

?Proven experience and understanding of object-orientated design

?Extensive .NET development experience - familiarity with the latest IDEs (principally Visual Studio 2013/2015) and core concepts (e.g. Linq, .NET Framework 4.0 features, etc.)

?Proven interest in Commodities Derivatives and Equities Derivatives.

?Good knowledge of the common Commodities-Derivatives trades (Commodity swaps, Commodity Options, Commodity Forwards, Precious Metals, Fx swaps, Commodity Swaption, etc..)

?Proven ability to work directly from simple business requirements to produce quality software.

?Extensive experience working with XML data structures, parsing and processing XML using the .NET Framework

?Good knowledge of SQL, specifically Microsoft SQL Server 2014 T-SQL expertise (additionally a solid base understanding of query performance analysis and tuning)

?Recent experience in Banking and Finance in a front-office orientated role

?Ability to work very frequently with colleagues in remote locations (London typically).

Desirable:

?Experience with HPQC testing system.

?Experience with DevExpress custom controls.

?Experience with Team Foundation Server for source code version control and branching

?Familiarity with Jira for work items tracking and management

?Familiarity with BuildM
