Our Public Sector client based in various locations (Salford, London, Telford) are currently recruiting for a Change Manager.

Role profile

Working in the Data Engineering team the role holder will be primarily responsible for co-ordinating, reviewing and updating the change pipeline in Data Engineering.

The role holder will ensure that all of Data Engineering's stakeholders always have a clear and up to date view of the all the work currently in the pipeline. They will also act as a key point of contact within the Data Engineering centre for queries about the progress of work.

Main responsibilities

You will be responsible for some or all of the following;

* Delivering solutions to agreed roadmaps

* Agreeing roadmaps where applicable with stakeholders

* Planning, coordinating and approving releases

* Reviewing and reporting progress of delivery teams

* Co-ordinating development and QA

* Working with the internal build teams to keep track of progress and issues

* Co-ordinating with delivery teams outside Data Engineering to manage dependencies

The role requires the holder to maintain a keen awareness of Data Engineering and of the other reporting and analytical business functions. They will work closely with the business and will play a key role in communicating the principles under which Data Engineering operates, such as agile delivery and lean management.

Although the role will not have individuals that report directly to them they will work with development team across Data Engineering and will need to work closely with the resource and delivery managers to effectively allocate and forecast resources.

The role holder will specifically have responsibility & accountability for:

* Release management of pre agreed work packages or projects

* Change management and control

* Project budget estimation and control
