My client based in Edinburgh is currently looking to bring on an experience Database Administrator to support with their growing client base. The role involves DBA support, Database Consultancy and new systems architecture. The main technologies used in this role include SQL Server, Oracle DBA and Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

* System administration, installation/ upgrade and patching of database servers

* Resolving database support requests, using relevant support and vendor solutions

* Implementing client and internal database consulting projects

* SQL Server performance reviews

* Performing advanced troubleshooting, working with stakeholders and vendors

* Review automated SQL alerts and responding as required with a resolution

Key Skills

* DBA support experience

* Microsoft SQL MCSA/ MCSE Certification

* SQL Server integration services SSIS, Analysis Services SSAS, and Reporting Services SSRS

* Microsoft Azure database technologies

Qualifications and Experience

* Experience working within an IT managed services provider, with a fast-paced environment and multiple varied clients

* Microsoft SQL MCSA/ MCSE Certification or the ability to demonstrate similar level of knowledge and experience

* You may not have all of the technical skills, but show an interest in learning new technologies and expanding own knowledge quickly
