Senior Tender Planner - Billericay

£50-,000 - £75,000 plus benefits

An opportunity has arisen to work for a main contractor on various construction schemes (residential, commercial, education and health) across London and the South East. With a turnover of over £200m, our client is well-established and is now offers the opportunity to work on schemes outside the London area. This role presents the perfect opportunity to work on London-based schemes without having to commute into the City and will suit someone living in the East London, Romford, Chelmsford, Basildon, Brentwood and Billericay areas.

The current requirement is for a senior tender planner who will be working with the Bid Writer and Estimator to secure future projects. The role will be predominantly office based, and the successful candidate will operate under minimal supervision and be driven to secure projects in London and the surrounding areas. Our client is ideally looking for someone with tender planning experience within the construction sector, but will also consider an intermediate construction planner with the right attitude or a Project Manager/Contracts Manager with solid on-site construction knowledge who wants to move into a full-time Planning role. You must have a good understanding of different forms of contract, on site construction methods and logistics and the main software being used is Asta Powerproject, MS project and Sketchup. It is also likely that this individual will manage a team of two Junior Planners in the medium-to-long term.

You will have the following experience:

-Significant construction planning experience and an understanding of how construction projects come together on site.

-A relevant construction/engineering degree desirable.

-Positive "can do" attitude.

-Proficient in Asta Power project and/or Microsoft Project and Sketchup.

-Capable of working under minimal supervision OR a quick-learner who can pick things up quickly.

-Eligible to work in the UK
