KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provides specialist level functional and configuration knowledge in supporting and designing SAP solutions in ARIBA

* Minimum of 5 years experience with Ariba Upstream: Sourcing Pro, Contract Pro, SIPM and Spend Analysis - Business and Administrative knowledge.

* Technical experience of Ariba Downstream: Procurement Content (Catalogues) and Ariba Network.

* Understanding of configuration dependencies and integration points between separate functional modules of SAP (Procurement/SRM/Finance).

* Conducts or participates in user requirements gathering, blueprinting & documentation designs.

* Ensure compliance to existing, and development of required data and reporting standards.

* Ensure the integrity of the Procurement configuration of the Ariba SAP system globally.

* Support business implementations by sharing best practice configuration skills within Ariba.

* Assist with responding to user requirements, problem resolution, develop designs, and process modelling for Ariba

* Conduct configuration changes to accommodate change requests and prototype activities.

* Demonstrate proof of concept and assist in training activities

* Perform initial testing of problem fixes, change request, enhancements, and new functionality.

* Raise and manage incidents and requests with Ariba support, ensuring resolution of issues.

* Work with the Service Desk to facilitate incident & problem resolution.

* Work with SAP to resolve software bugs.

* Keep abreast of SAP Ariba releases, enhancements/new functionality and perform application research.

* Participate in release upgrade or new functionality / enhancement assessments and make recommendations.

* Perform break/fix analysis and recommend solutions for procurement related processes.

* Excellent stakeholder management and engagement.

* Understands the business processes and how the application supports the processes. Applies this knowledge to solve problems and deliver changes.

In addition, this role is application-facing and requires a detailed knowledge of the relevant modules of Ariba installed on-site, namely Sourcing, Contract Management, Supplier Information Performance Management and Ariba Procurement Content (APC) and Collaborative Commerce. Whilst the Upstream modules are live and the integration between Ariba APC and SRM/ECC has been completed and is in production, it will be necessary for the analyst to have excellent knowledge of:

Upstream

Implementation of new project and event templates over all upstream modules - Sourcing, Contract, SIPM and Knowledge projects

Process design of Supplier Creation and Management, including Discovery suppliers

Design and maintenance of the Supplier Profile Questionnaires

Maintenance of the Sourcing and Clause Libraries, Classified access

Customisations design and management with Ariba Support

Reporting, dashboard design, suite integration and common elements between upstream and downstream.

Administrative knowledge with:

Upstream user management

Legacy Contract Import

Mass project edits

Upstream master data management

Email templates

Downstream

A working knowledge and understanding of OCI parameters

Experience of some of the SAP Tcodes to enable observation of integration activities in ECC and PI

Since APC cannot be loaded independently the analyst would need to understand, and have access to, SRM in both pre-production and production environments.

APC configuration - creating and maintaining CIF catalogues, users, suppliers, catalogue views, data import and export, commodity code loads, acquisition and deployment of CIF imports and other related tasks.

Management of groups and users in conjunction with the business needs to ensure correct access to all users. This activity will grow in importance as successive business units migrate to SAP to ensure that the correct users see the correct catalogue.

Designing and executing test scripts for the generation of suitable purchase orders when testing XML interfaces and the receipt of PO confirmations, shipping notifications and invoices. This requires the use of SRM and a working knowledge of the approvals workflow.

Utilising the Ariba Buyer Account to monitor inbound and outbound traffic.

Ensure correct notifications are maintained.

Manage the business rules surrounding the transmission and reception of inbound traffic.

Identify and resolve any network traffic errors.

KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

A university degree or relevant experience in Procurement or Information Management.

5 Years of hands-on SAP ARIBA configuration experience.

Integration Experience with Procurement, PS and HR.

Good understanding of Source to Pay processes as it interacts with ARIBA as per the standard SAP process model.

DESIRED:

Experience or exposure to IT Governance.
