We currently have a rare opportunity with one of our clients for a Site Manager/Engineer to carve out a career in Project Planning. This is a unique opportunity to access a career as a Planning Engineer/Project Planner that is usually closed for so many; it's essentially a training role with a pathway to becoming a fully-fledged Planner in the future.
Our client is a fast-growing, progressive fit-out contractor in London, working across the residential and commercial sectors. They are involved in several landmark/prestigious projects and starting to gain a great reputation in the London market. With further extreme growth expected from the current project pipeline alone, our client is currently seeking an Assistant Planner to work closely alongside the existing Senior Planner.
This is a training role; you will receive on the job and one-on-one training where appropriate to get you up to speed as quickly as possible, with the role involving monitoring/updating progress using planning software, regular site visits, client reporting, stakeholder management, etc. Eventually, you'll progress beyond merely working on live projects to dealing with new queries, tenders, etc.
The successful candidate will have the following:
-A site background within the fit-out sector (i.e. good interiors site knowledge/awareness).
-A genuine desire to build a career as a Planner.
-A basic understanding of Powerproject and/or PrimaVera P6 software.
-Relevant construction qualifications preferred (i.e. degree, HNC, etc).
-Enthusiastic individual, keen to learn and develop.
-Eligible to work in the UK.
