Azure Cloud Specialist
Location : Greater Manchester
Salary : £45,000 - £55,000

As an Azure Cloud Engineer you will play a crucial role in the IT operations of the organisation. You'll add value to the business with each task and have the freedom to develop your own skillset and take charge of your own work.
Reporting directly to the Infrastructure Programme Manager you will be responsible for project work involving with migrations, builds, running and security of the Azure Cloud Platform.
Key duties and tasks;
* Strong understanding of the 'Cloud First' strategy (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS).
* Leading the development and implementation of cloud-based projects to guarantee the systems are scalable, reliable, secure, supportable, and achieve business and IT performance
* Design efficient cloud ecosystems to support enterprise applications, identifying potential obstacles and solutions regarding the use of cloud computing environment.
* Drive the architecture/design and implementation to migrate applications to cloud-based PaaS, IaaS and SaaS products, including optimising technical reliability and improving application performance.
* Work with Development, Infrastructure, Architecture and 3rd parties to define suitable design patterns for new services to be deployed in Azure; including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS as options.
* Assess usage and utilization trends to make appropriate recommendations towards scaling our cloud environments.
* Manage infrastructure costs in Cloud and Hybrid environments, perform scripting, and create future proof Cloud designs and implementations.
* Establish and consult on best practices and standard operating procedures for development, deployment, support, break-fix, and systems management.
* Evaluate the existing teams and methodologies in place and successfully transition to a more modern DevOps/Scrum/Agile delivery approach.
* Put in place processes and systems to ensure that the agreed standards become embedded in the creation of new infrastructure in Cloud Environments (Azure).
Required experience
* MCSE or equivalent in Cloud platforms (required)
* Educated to degree level (desired)
* Proven working experience as part of an agile operation or development team (required)
* Proven experience with Azure Cloud Platform (required)
* Strong Windows systems administration experience (desired)
Experience of managing, supporting, monitoring and troubleshooting cloud environments (required)
