Rare and exciting opportunity on offer for a product design engineer looking for a varied and autonomous role where, you will play a fundamental role within the innovations team of this expanding global business.

Do you have experience taking a technical lead on product development projects? Do you have experience with 3D CAD systems? Do you have knowledge of a range of manufacturing processes and experience of modelling mechanisms and injection moulded parts in CAD?

This market leading company develop and manufacture complex medical devices and supply these products into major European and US markets. This company have been established for over 60 years and currently employ over 650 employees within the UK, they have a great reputation that is built on the quality of their engineers and products they supply. Due to signing significant development and manufacturing collaboration agreements they are looking for a product design engineer to support the development of new and existing products.

In this role you will reporting into the innovations manager. You will be leading technical work steams and carrying out a range of design engineering activities for innovation projects to identify, design and develop drug delivery products. You will be responsible for liaising with appropriate suppliers, procuring tools and commissioned parts to meet the agreed product/ component specification. You will carry out diligent laboratory testing, including the creation of test protocols, designing and procuring test apparatus, analysing of results and report writing.

This role would therefore ideally suit a product design engineer who has a background ideally within the healthcare and medical devices industry. You must be looking for your next challenge to become the technical expert and hold a highly autonomous and responsible role where you will work for a well-established, exciting and growing company.
