Electrical Technician/Contract/12 months/Milton Keynes/ BS 7671/Outside IR35

Spring Technology is currently recruiting for a two Electrical Technicians to work with our client who is based in Milton Keynes. Our client is a public sector client who falls outside IR35. This is a contract position, for an initial 12 month period. The successful candidate must be eligible to go through SC clearance if not already held.

Location: Milton Keynes with occasional visits to the London office

Type: Contract

Interviews: ASAP

Duration: 12 month contract

Responsibilities:

*Carrying out site surveys

*Producing technical reports

*Preparing designs

*Managing constructions works & projects

*Managing external suppliers and contractors

Key skills and experience for the role include:

*Working knowledge of BS 7671: 2008

*To have completed a recognised apprenticeship.

*Effective management of project risks and issues and project scope change.

*Accountability for the quality and accuracy of your own work.

*Problem solving and judgment, especially in the pressurised environment of a project.

*Deal proactively with problems and act appropriately and decisively to resolve them.

*Experience in electrical installation & able to demonstrate practical application of academic knowledge.

*Qualification to a level recognised by the IET to BTEC (ONC) /AM2 or JIB Approved electrician (Level 3)

*City & Guilds 2391-10 Test and Inspection or equivalent

Desirable

*GENT Vigilon commissioning experience

*Knowledge and experience of air conditioning systems including having completed F Gas certificate course

*Working knowledge and experience of fire alarms, emergency lighting systems, & Building Management Systems.

*Working knowledge of other security systems

*Experience of working with other trades

*CITB Site Manager Safety Training Scheme certificate.

*Knowledge of Building regulations (Part P)

*Experience of working in secure environments, e.g. government offices, prisons, banks

*Experience of working overseas in different environments

*Experience of the following IT packages/applications: Office 2007, Visio, CAD, Oracle
